Last weekend we were honored to attend the wedding of our friends. The reception was held at the Lafayette Grande, an historical building in Pontiac, Michigan. Built in 1923 as Masonic Lodge, it has been restored to its original grandeur. Even standing on the old stone steps of the main entrance, you are aware that you are about to step back into the Roaring Twenties.
I could just imagine this place on a Saturday night with a Jazz band on the stage, men in tuxedos, and ladies dressed in evening gowns. The roar of talk and music filling the air.
