Forming large mobs and trampling/maiming people in the name of consumer greed under the guise of “Christmas cheer” one day a year is acceptable behaviour and makes you a good American; but forming small groups to peaceably protest social injustices any day of the year makes you unpatriotic, you’re beaten, maced, and arrested as a domestic terrorist.
Ah, American logic.
