The Gun debate in a nutshell

This sums up my feelings on this issue. The only thing that I will add is that the Second Amendment does not- and has never (because they had no idea it was possible ) included a right to private ownership of weapons of mass destruction. AS STATED, the amendment was about the formation of paramilitary groups REGULATED BY THE STATE for protection against federal overreach. People like to cherry-pick only PART OF the clause to suit their penis-envied love of firearms.
I have no problem with handguns for personal or familial protection or rifles for hunting (whether sport or survival), but there is NO need for assault weapons of any type outside of military use. These are designed for killing on a mass scale and NOTHING ELSE.
