After spending the morning cleaning the house it was time for my customary after-cleaning libation on the front porch.
It was a perfect day: Sunny and warm, but not as humid as it has been, so I had Trinity join me and sat down with a glass of Kilting Me Softly. To say that I enjoy this awesome brew would be an understatement. It became apparent that the pooch wanted some as well.
As if the sun, stout, and pooch were not enough to make it a grand afternoon, along came the mail carrier with a pleasant surprise and I had reading material delivered courtesy of the Academy of American Poets in the firm of the James Laughlin Award-winning collection by Kathryn Neurnberger, The End of Pink.
No. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon at all.
