“Life Never Waits”
Life.
Life never waits.
War surrounds and confuses me
As we build missiles under the sea.
Our children are starving so the old can live forever.
As Earth and man are severed.
And through it all, life never waits.
Life never waits
In a world full of hate.
How can there be peace
If the bullets never cease?
Life never waits.
It will not wait for man.
All the heroes lose their pride
And all their friends and family have died.
The machine guns yell
Screaming, “WAR IS HELL!”
The Sun rises in the East
To greet the Beast.
And the light uncovers the dead,
Their bodies full of lead.
The war has taken its toll.
Few still carry a Soul.
The dust settles and the animals again run free.
Of the Humans that lived, few are seen.
Nature takes back the land.
Death disappears and Life gives a hand.
The Trees grow and the Rivers again flow.
It is the dawning of a new age.
The few lingering Humans crawl into the dark.
All beings are free, no longer in a cage.
Life begins again on planet Earth
as green returns in a majestic rebirth.
A Human soldier sees a deer-
His hands fashion a spear-
The spear becomes sword
He thanks his god.
Man is hunter once more,
but the Earth is still sore.
Death smiles in its gait,
because Life never waits.
