The word “Apocalypse” does not mean what you think it means.

It is Old English- via Old French and ecclesiastical Latin- from Greek thr apokalupsis, from apokaluptein ‘uncover, reveal’, from apo- ‘un-’ + kaluptein ‘to cover’.

So, what we have is not the destruction of the world, but the uncovering of a universal truth.
