Tonight I embarked upon a journey that began some three hundred years ago with a legendary recipe for Nordic honeywine.
I have been eyeing this bottle of Viking Blod by Dansk Mjødat – Without a doubt, one of the most amazing brews I have ever had. 5/5
I took some tips from the bottle and experienced it three ways:
First as chilled mead as an aparatif with grapes, then as a room temperature portwine with espressobellavittano cheese, then warmed as a mulled wine with some tea biscuits. By Valhalla heating it really brings forward that this is a 19% brew.
