A Kansas Bookshop’s Fight with Amazon Is About More Than the Price of Books | The New Yorker

This is why I hate selling my books on Amazon as opposed to my own direct website. I am lucky if I get $1 PER BOOK. Over half of a book’s consumer price goes in Amazon’s pocket and the actual content creator gets peanuts.
