Poetic Visions release and a huge holiday sale

What a year it’s been!  Here we are at the beginning of yet another holiday season and Thanksgiving is upon us once again; seems like only last month it was 2009.  Thank you to all who helped make 2010 a fun year to remember.  I have the most wonderful friends in the world and I am truly grateful for each and every one of you.

In publishing news Under a Sunlit Sky and A Ghost Hunter’s Field Guide continue to be my best sellers and met with rave reviews.  The Ghost Hunter’s Guide is also doing well overseas!   Thanks to all of you who have picked up a copy.  I have been very busy with the muggle job and the daily grind, but I’ve tried to hang out with friends whenever possible and I’ve taken time to collaborate on a few projects- namely the Final Destinations folio by Paul Michael Kane, of which I wrote the introduction for.  I also wrote a review of the 2010 Midwest Witches’ Ball that is a featured article in Body Mind Spirit Guide, Spirit One web-zine, and witchvox.com.

I continue to explore the world of paranormal research, not only with my very own paranormal research group, but every month with my Across the Great Divide column in the Pagan Pages magazine.  It’s been quite fun so far.  Oh, just a reminder that issues come out on the first of every month.

Beginning in December 2010 I will also be part of a new magazine called Short Stack magazine.  This will be a regular thing but I will provide more information on the magazine and what exactly my role will be as soon as I can.  This is going to be awesome!

Now on to the big news of the holiday season:  Poetic Visions is finally complete!! I’ve been working on this project for a good part of the year and I’m proud to say that it is ready to go to print.  After some formatting setbacks I will have the proof copy in my hands this Friday.  Because of this I have pushed back its release until December 3, 2010 but the wait has been worth it as the extended editing process gave me the opportunity to tweak some last-minute things and the book is gorgeous! This is by far my most ambitious undertaking yet!  The Poetic Visions photography book is a whopping 100-page 8×10 full-color pictorial of nature, landscapes, cityscapes, people, places, cemeteries, and spirit photography that is vast and breathtaking in its scope.  This pictorial also features some of my inspirational quotes and passages mixed in among the artistic imagery- with a few famous quotes added in when appropriate. There is also be a Poetic Visions wall calendar, which is available now, that features 16 specially-formatted pages from the book.  A jigsaw puzzle collection and a greeting card line are also in the final stages of completion.  I was hoping to have the puzzles and cards set to release at the same time but several issues are being worked on.  I don’t want to commit to an exact date but they will be available very soon.

With the holiday shopping season now officially here I’ve completely redesigned my online bookstore.  I think the new layout and design is crisper, neater, and easier to navigate.  It also categorizes all the various projects I’m involved with and looks a lot more professional. There is now a HUGE holiday sale on my website.   Selected titles and items have been marked down 20%-30%!!

I haven’t slept in 3 days so that’s all for now.  Tomorrow I plan on eating a bunch of turkey and pumpkin pie.  :p  Have a happy holiday season and I wish everyone much love, laughter, and success!
