When the shadow of night falls;
        When the first dew of morning glistens;
             When the Sun’s rays light up a room;
                  When twilight draws near-
        I think of you.
   In the way you brush aside your hair;
        In the way you hold my shirt close;
             In the way you smile when I walk in the room;
                  In the way you whisper certain words-
        I notice the ‘little things’.
   With the blooming of flowers in the spring;
        With the smell of the breeze in the fall;
             With the laughter of children in the summer;
                  With the warmth of a fireside in winter-
        I feel our love grow.
   I see a future of possibilities;
        I see a past I don’t regret;
             I see a today full of adventure;
                  I see an eternity in our souls-
   All this at once every time I think of you.
