Take Me as I am

“Take Me as I am”

I am a web of

thoughts,

feelings,

and physical traits

I am not

strange,

weird,

or odd

I am unique and unlike anyone else

And I have to realize that everyone

Is as unique as I am

With their own story to tell

As a result some people I meet

Are not interested in me

or what I have to say

But I have hope

That some day

Someone will look at the whole

And value who I am

Instead of judging me

For a small part of what I am

I really enjoyed “Take Me As I Am”. It’s true. We need to dig deep inside and realize our wonderful potential. For those with low self esteem, please read this poem! It has your name written all over it. If you take me as I am you will encourage me to invest who I am into who I will become into a mature legacy.
