How can you say you can’t love me

If you never take the time to know me

To know what’s on my mind

Or to walk softly through my memories

Or view my dreams

To stop and look into my eyes

Just as you would lift up a rock

To find the treasures hidden beneath

Yes you might love me

And you might not

But how can you be sure

If you never take the time to try
