FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Wolf LittleBear Aims to Bring Literary Recognition Back to Motown
STERLING HEIGHTS, MI—December 26, 2007— Local author, Wolf LittleBear, began his writing career in May 2007 with a
small collection of poetry and short literary works titled Musings From a Candlelit Chamber in conjunction with Lulu.com
(www.lulu.com), the world’s fastest-growing provider of print-on-demand books.
Since the release of Musings From a Candlelit Chamber he has also published two non-fiction works titled A Wolf in the Shadows,
which centers on his Spiritual journey and serves as an information source on the Wiccan religion; and a music therapy program for
psychology professionals, The Power of Music Therapy.
In the months following his debut Wolf has been on a solid marketing campaign. His books have achieved global distribution, with
sales in the US and Europe. Online powerhouses Borders, Barnes & Noble, and Amazon.com also list his books with positive
customer reviews. He has made public appearances at Sweet Jane Coffee in Shelby Township, MI and the 4th annual Motor City Art
Expo. His poetry has also been selected to appear in literary magazines.
His current projects include a second poetry anthology, a political satire, and a love story. This historical fiction centers on two young
lovers set against the backdrop of 1940s Detroit and the effects WWII would have on their lives. Wolf is taking great care with the
historical accuracy of Detroit as it was in 1941.
Wolf also joined the Motown Writer’s Network. This is an online group of hundreds of writers from the metro Detroit area who meet
online and once a month in person at the Barnes & Noble at Wayne State University. Motown Writers Network was created in 2000
to educate, network, and market writers on and off the Internet. With over 300 members, MWN has grown on the Internet as one of
the largest Michigan online organizations. MWN has several projects including its Essence of Motown Writers Conference.
Wolf believes that the time is right to bring focus back the literary and cultural legacy of Detroit. While Detroit is fast becoming a
sports haven; Wolf is one of many authors looking to showcase the intellectual side of Detroit and promote literacy in area schools.
“Detroit has a rich literary history- past, present, and future,” says Wolf LittleBear. “Literacy brings hope, not only for Detroit in
general, but also in the life of a child who is striving for achievement, joy and success in life by learning how to read and write. But
literacy is more than learning how to read and write. The aim is to gain knowledge and the ability to share that knowledge to promote
social participation and growth.”
